I WORKED ON MY CHRISTMAS CARDS TODAY BUT CAN'T SHOW IT JUST YET ON MY BLOG. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SENT OUT AND I CAN'T RUIN THE SURPRISE. SORRY. I JUST NEED THE FAMILY PHOTO TO MAIL IN THE CARD. THIS IS THE CARD I MADE FOR MY OLDEST SISTER, DEBORAH. HER BIRTHDAY WAS NOV 2. SHE MADE 53 YEARS OLD AND SHE ALSO GOT ENGAGED. SHE IS THE SISTER THAT HER HUSBAND,LARRY DIED THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO. THE SAYING READS"AGE IS ONLY A NUMBER". INSIDE SAYS" MINE IS UNLISTED". I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON MY CHRISTMAS CARDS. SOON I WILL POST A PIC OF THEM BUT WE MUST HAVE PATIENCE. SOME OF YOU LUCKY LADIES HAVE ALREADY SEEN THE SAMPLE. MAGARET ROSES' B-DAY CARD & BAG

THIS IS THE CARD AND BAG I MADE FOR MY VERY GOOD FRIEND JULIE'S DAUGHTER, MARGARET ROSE. THE THEME WAS PINK POODLE(AS IF YOU COULDN'T FIGURE THAT OUT.) I PRINTED THE IMAGES FROM THE INTERNET. ON THE BAG, I CUT OUT IMAGE, COLORED IN THE PINK PARTS WITH MARKERS AND OUTLINED WITH STICKLES. THEN ADDED A FEW CURLS ALSO WITH STICKLES. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULTS. ON THE CARD, I ALSO PRINTED IMAGE FROM INTERNET, CUT OUT AND JUST ADDED IT TO THE PAPERS.

SOMETHING AT TARGET

I TOO FOUND SOMETHING AT TARGET. I FORGOT I HAD THEM. LAST WEEK I RAN IN THERE FOR A QUICK MOMENT AND FOUND THE STAMPS LIKE ON PATTY'S BLOG(PAPERPIECINGPATTY.BLOGSPOT.COM) AND I FOUND THESE ADHESIVE EMBELLISHMENTS. I THINK THERE WERE A FEW MORE DIFFERENT ONES BUT DID NOT GET THEM. LORD KNOW WE HAVE ENOUGH OF EVERYTHING. I WAS KINDA DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THERE WAS NO 4TH OF JULY $1.00 SCRAPBOOKING THINGS.

what i found today

I FOUND THESE BOXES TODAY AT TUESDAY MORNING IN GRETNA. I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE A VERY NICE CARD BOX. VERY DECORATIVE AND ROOMY. I BOUGHT 2 THINKING OF MAKING MY MOM AND JEFF'S MOM EACH ONE FOR CHRISTMAS.

ALSO I BOUGHT 2 STACKS OF 6X6 PAPER. PRETTY NICE. THERE WAS A BIGGER BOX LIKE THESE THAT WOULD BE NICE FOR SCRAPBOOK STUFF. THESE ALSO HAVE A LOCK ON THE FRONT TO KEEP CLOSED.

adding an emhancement

this is a pic of the same card on last entry. but i thought something was missing on it. so my friend cathy emailed me some butterflies that i could print on cardstock and cut out for embellishments. when i seen them i knew it was exactly what i needed on this card. so here is the updated version. thanks again cathy!

TODAY WAS A PLAYDAY

WELL SINCE SCHOOL IS OUT AND JULIE AND I CAN PLAY ALMOST EVERYDAY, TODAY WE HAD ANOTHER PLAYDATE AT MY HOUSE. THE KIDS GO SWIMMING WHILE JULIE, DONNA, JACKIE AND I PLAY. JULIE MADE ABOUT 10 CARDS WHICH AGAIN I FORGOT TO GET PICS OF AND I MADE 3 CARDS AND 2 LAYOUTS. JACKIE MADE A FEW PAGES AND DONNA PLAYED WITH HER NEW TOY, THE BIG KICK. THIS IS MY FINISHED WORKS OF ART.

A GREAT FIND TODAY

THIS IS A PACK OF 12X12 PAPER I FOUND TODAY AT WALMART IN MARRERO. IT HAS SOME GREAT LOOKING PAPER IN IT. WHEN I FIRST SEEN IT I THOUGHT OF A CARD JULIE MADE YESTERDAY AT MY HOUSE. THE PAPER WAS ONLY $9.88 FOR 200 SHEETS. 4 SHEETS OF 50 DESIGNS.

sorry i have been neglecting my blog

hey everyone. it has been so hectic the last few weeks, i really had no time to do any scrapbooking or cardmaking. but we only have 7 days of school left. yee-haw. well these are the cards from the card swap from the spm event i was in. it was 12 ladies and we each had a different holiday. i had get well but i already posted those. the last pic is a card i made for a cousin's birthday. i copied the card from the swap in the 1st pic. i was very happy with each of them. it is funny how people can come up with different ideas. i also made a card for a friend using the layout from the bottom right card in the 1st pic. it is a easter card but i turn it into a b-day card. i forgot to take a pic( yeah i know it hard tobelieve i forgot to take a pic)i told ya it's been a crazy month. hopefully i will make it to lisa's crop on may 24 and get bunches done. i must try to go. for 3 other cats plan to be there. meow. till later.

LAST WEEKEND THE SCRAPPIN PACKIN MOMMA'S INVITED ME TO THEIR CONVENTION. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. UNFORTUNATELY I WAS ONLY ABLE TO ATTEND ON SATURDAY. WE HAD A BLAST. THANK YOU LADIES. YOU ALWAYS GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO ENTERTAIN US. WELL THESE ARE THE 5 LAYOUTS I GOT TO GET DONE. TOO BAD I STLL HAVE 100'S TO GET DONE. I SAT NEXT TO MOMMA 411 AND GOT TO CATCH UP WITH HER. sorry i've been busy busy

sorry i haven't updated in a while. i have been crazy busy around the house,yard, school and kids. this is a card that a made a few weeks ago for a friend and decided to sent it to a different friend whose b-day was yesterday.( the other friend is in july)(still have plenty time). tomorrow i will get to play for a little while at debbie's stampin up party. i'll post what we make. cause you know with lisa it will be several awesome item. till then goodnight.

my creativity wheels have been spinning

since julie and pam came over thursday i have been going crazy trying to sit in my scrapbooking area to work on cards. well i finally got the chance today. i completed 12 get well soon cards for the spm april convention that i am invited to as a guest.

also i made a birthday card for a friend who is having a surprised

party next week. thanks lizzie for the idea for that card. i got it from

patty's blog from a card making nite spm had. i plan to make more

tonight also.

julie i think we should get together once a week during the summer. good idea. you make me want to scrap. lol

some goodies

this is a card i made that i will probably use for mother's day. it is a quarter fold card. the two pics are 2 different cards. note the stamping is different. the flower is a stampin up hostess level 1 gift. it is the big magnolia looking flower. it is called

"from the garden" . very pretty.

these butterflies are something that i picked up sat at dollartree in luling. they were so cute and i think they will make great additions to a card. they came 3 in a pack for a dollar. cool

also dollar tree in luling doesn't have as much scrapbooking stuff as the one on barataria blvd, but i think they may have more flowers.

ok meme cat here it is. here are some pics i took at scrapfest. we had a blast. at our table it was garnet aka me-me cat, tabitha aka tabby cat, peggy aka sugar & spice, patty aka momma 411 or paper piecing patty, cathy,(patty and liz's sister),donna and pam(friends of our) and me aka booty cat. this was my 1st event as a member of the scrappin cats so i had great welcome. garnet,tab & peggy decorated my table space. garnet has not yet sent me the pics of them in the process but this is a pic of teir work after they finished. also lisa,patty provance, tammy, kaci, charlotte and many other ladies were there having fun fun fun. garnet's name was pick for one of the drawing and this is her grabbing some bucks. she was really thrilled to find a free crop coupon for the sept event. good job meme. i am looking forward to it again but hopefully next time i can go for longer. we still have a few months to work on the husband. lol
